THE GIPPSLAND LAKES, including Lake Tyers is the largest estuarine lake system in Australia, and is unsurpassed for all water sports – boating, yachting, sailboard riding, swimming, skiing and fishing.
LAKE CRUISES – available from Lakes Entrance and Paynesville. See the Lakes in style and enjoy a meal with local wine.
HISTORY – the homestead at Nyerimilang Park is worthy of a visit with its magnificent rose garden and lake views.
SHOPPING – For the shopaholic there are the towns of Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale (while there, don’t forget to check out the magnificent ceiling of St Mary’s Church).
FARMERS MARKETS – Every first Saturday of the month at the Bairnsdale Secondary College and every second Saturday of the month at the Metung Village Green. 8 am to midday. Bruthen’s market is every third Saturday.
